By Legendary Nigerian singer, Innocent Idibia professionally known as 2Baba is again in the news, albeit for the wrong reasons.
According to reports, the father-of-seven is expecting his eight child with a mystery woman who is said to be a banker.
It would be recalled that on Monday, the award-winning musician penned a public apology to his family for being an embarrassment to them.
Months ago, 2Baba and his wife, Annie Idibia were caught in a web of controversies over the recent crisis rocking their marriage. The duo, one of Nigeria’s most influential celebrity couples, tied the knot in 2012 and their union is blessed with two daughters.
In September 2021, Annie publicly called her husband out over his ‘suspicious’ relationship with one of his baby mamas, Pero.
In the heart-felt apology shared on his Instagram page on Monday, the musician admitted that he had wronged his family and caused them embarrassment, saying he just wants to make things right with everyone.
“I beg y’all to pls just face me and cancel me anyhow. I’ve been a star for so long that my bulletproof vest is worn-out. I’m not quitting or suicidal or giving up,” he wrote.
“I just want to go back to my default settings and denounce my role model status and make up lost time with my kids and give y’all music that will make u remember and understand why they call me 2BABA #GRATEFUL.”
But in an interesting twist of events, reports reaching BlackBox Nigeria indicate that the singer’s public apology was because he had impregnated yet another woman, months after his marriage managed to survive a major crisis.
Though 2Baba is yet to confirm the development, there are strong indications that the 46-year-old hitmaker, who has five children from two women other than his wife, is preparing to become a father for the eighth time.
