I Will Congratulate Myself, Cos I’m Going To Win – Buhari Says After Casting Vote In Daura
Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari moments ago stated that he will be congratulating himself as he believes he will be the winner in the 2019 General Elections.
President Buhari, who is the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress was answering to questions fielded by journalists at his Polling Unit in Daura, Kastina State.
When asked if he will accept the outcome of the result if he doesn’t win and then congratulate the winner, Buhari said, “I will congratulate myself because I’m going to be the winner,” then he left as he disclosed that he won’t stay long in order not to disturb other voters.
BlackBox Nigeria learnt that this is the umpteenth time the President will be asked if he will concede to defeat like his predecessor, President Goodluck Jonathan if he eventually looses to his close rival, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the main opposition party, People’s Democratic Party. At all times, the President has been insisting on winning the election and won’t have to accept a possible defeat. This position has been characterised by political commentators as undemocratic and have received negative comments on the social media.
Buhari alongside his wife and entourage were the first to cast their votes at his Daura polling unit.
