Barrister Lukman Akinsanya, founder of the PEPC Foundation and an aspirant for the Ibeju-Lekki Federal Constituency seat, has highlighted ongoing efforts to improve access to clean water in the area, marking the 9th Oguntimehin Day Celebration with the groundbreaking of a solar-powered water project.

Akinsanya disclosed that a 60,000-capacity solar-powered water supply plant was inaugurated in Araromi, describing it as part of broader interventions aimed at addressing water challenges and improving living standards across the constituency.

According to him, the project builds on earlier initiatives, including the completion of solar-powered water supply plants in Imagbon-Alade and Orimedu, which he said have already made significant impact in their respective communities.

“This milestone is not just a promise for tomorrow, but a continuation of what we have already delivered for our people,” he said, noting that the projects reflect a sustained commitment to sustainable development and grassroots-focused interventions.

He added that the initiatives are designed to ensure access to clean and reliable water, while enhancing public health and economic productivity in Ibeju-Lekki.

The event formed part of activities marking the annual Oguntimehin Day celebration, which drew community leaders, residents, and political stakeholders.

Akinsanya also expressed appreciation to the traditional ruler of Araromi Kingdom, HRM Oba Olayemi Lukman Arowolo Adebambo, and residents of the community for hosting the event and supporting development efforts in the area.
