Veteran Nollywood actress, Joke Silva has again debunked recent rumours that her husband, Olu Jacobs is dead.
Reports of the legendary actor’s purported passing has dominated the social media space in the last couple of days. The news has since generated serious concerns from movie lovers.
Reacting in a statement on Monday, Silva threatened to take legal actions spreading falsehood about her family.
The statement shared on her Instagram Stories reads, “Good day everyone, trust all is going well.
“The Jacobs Clan would love to inform you that Papa J (Olu Jacobs MFR) is alive and well. Enjoying himself as always in the comfort of his home and loved ones.
“To all those who have decided to ignore our last warning regarding fake news, kindly prepare for legal action.”
It would be recalled that Jacobs had taken a break from acting after he was diagnosed with dementia, as revealed by his wife in an interview.
In July, the Nollywood icon marked his 80th birthday in grand style, and was celebrated by big names in the entertainment industry and beyond.
