Months after reports made rounds that his marriage had hit the rocks, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Babatunde Gbadamosi has finally opened up on the matter.
Until recently, Gbadamosi, the PDP candidate in the October 2020 Lagos-East Senatorial District bye-election and Lagos gubernatorial hopeful, was happily married to his heartthrob, Shade.
The union, however, ended on a sad note last year due to the infidelity of Gbadamosi who was said to impregnated a UK-based Nigerian lady identified as Yinka Balogun.
In a twist of events, the marriage’s collapse unearthed the truth about the ownership of the popular Amen Estate located in the Lekki area of Lagos, which many believe solely belongs to the politician. Gbadamosi had always projected himself as the chairman and CEO of Redbrick Homes International Limited — a position his estranged wife, Shade now holds following their breakup.
Addressing the issue publicly for the first time, Gbadamosi took to his Facebook page on Monday to disclose that the ownership of the company is currently being litigated.
The Ikorodu-born real estate developer also dissociated himself from a proposed Phase 3 for Amen Estate, saying he isn’t aware of the project.
He wrote, “Redbrick Homes International Ltd and its assets are the subject of an asset sharing litigation before Justice Olakunle Faji.of the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, arising out of the separation of its hitherto married directors, namely myself and Sade Gbadamosi.
“I have recently received a number of enquiries regarding an Amen Estate Phase 3 project. I hereby do declare that I am neither aware of this project nor involved in it nor associated in it in any way shape or form.
“Anyone who does business with Redbrick Homes International prior to resolution of the suit before the Federal High Court Lagos, does so entirely at their own risk, forthwith. Let the buyer beware.”
