On the heels of the recent positive reviews Damini Ogulu (Burna Boy)’s new music album ‘African Giant’ has garnered, the CEO and publisher of Ovation International, Dele Momodu have equated him to be the new pop icon, Michael Jackson.
While commenting on a review of Burna Boy’s ‘African Giant’ in American based newspaper, Washington Post, Momodu wrote on his verified twitter handle @DeleMomodu that it is worthy of appreciation that the new Michael Jackson making reference to Burna Boy, is from Nigeria.

He wrote, “Thank God, the new Michael Jackson is from Nigeria… His name is BURNA BOY… Well done…”
No doubt, the Nigerian Afro-fusion artist professionally called Burna Boy, has made scintillating improvements to his music this 2019 and he is not acting like he would be stopping anytime soon.
Burna’s grandfather once managed the legendary Fela Anikulapo Kuti and this tie has been influencing the tone of his music. Like Fela, Burna’s music has been combative speaking to the ills in the society and the society has been good to him in the area acceptance and support.
Like the well-known cliche, good product sales itself. In June 2019, Burna Boy picked an award at BET Awards, he stepped it up with a performance in Coachella in July before going on to feature in Beyoncé’s recent promotional album for “The Lion King.”
In all, the African Giant album has been a huge success.
