The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the postponement of the screening exercise for its presidential aspirants.
Barr. Felix Morka, the ruling party’s National Publicity Secretary, made this known in a statement on Sunday evening.
“The Screening Excercise for Presidential Aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) earlier scheduled to be held on Monday, May 23rd, 2022, is hereby postponed,” the statement read.
“A new date for the exercise will be announced shortly. Any inconvenience caused is deeply regretted.”
This development comes amid preparations for the presidential primaries of the APC billed to hold from Sunday, May 29 to Monday, May 30.
Despite the N100m price tag, a total of 25 presidential aspirants have submitted their expression of interest and nomination forms.
