By Anita Okoye, the estranged wife of Paul Okoye of the music duo, P-Square has dragged her husband before an Abuja High Court over alleged infidelity in their union.
Reports of their marriage hitting the rocks first broke out last year, when Anita reportedly sought for divorce citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ and irresponsibility on the part of her husband.
The court documents of the divorce proceedings surfaced on social media on Friday.
According to the documents, Anita alleged that Paul was having extramarital affairs with several women, including their housekeeper identified as Florence. She also included chats of her husband with the women in question.
She further alleged that Paul sent her and her sister out of the house on June 11, 2020 after she discovered the illicit affair between him and the housekeeper.
The singer’s estranged wife also claimed that he failed to take part in the upbringing of their three kids despite being their father. He was said to always travel for music shows and barely made time for his family.
Things got messier when Anita also alleged that in 2019, when she started her company, TannkCo, she paid Paul the sum of N10m for the construction of a mall which would also house the new firm.
According to her, the singer refused to allocate any office space to her when the mall was eventually completed.
Though Paul Okoye has kept mum over the matter, there are strong indications that this lawsuit may mark the end of his 8-year-marriage to Anita.
