It’s been raining wishes and praises for Africa’s richest man and CEO of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote as he marks his 65th birthday today.
His longtime friend, oil tycoon and billionaire, Femi Otedola, President Muhammadu Buhari, governors of Niger and Kogi states are among prominent Nigerians who have celebrated Africa’s most talked-about entrepreneur.
Taking to his verified Instagram page, Otedola shared a picture of himself and the celebrant with the caption, “Happy Birthday to the GREATEST entrepreneur of our time! 🎈 Alhaji Aliko Dangote GCON, my most cherished brother… F.Ote $.”

President Muhammadu Buhari, in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, felicitated with Dangote and appreciated his efforts in improving economic growth of the country and promoting an healthy competition in the industry sector and wishing him greater service to God, Nigeria, and humanity.
On his part, Niger State Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello saluted the celebrated entrepreneur, describing him as “a major contributor of food security, a market leader in cement and the highest employer of labour in Africa who is presently building Nigeria’s first private oil refinery and the largest in Africa.”
“I commend your efforts as a philanthropist and business magnate. Am not surprised you have consistently been adjudged the richest man in Africa and has been progressing in the global ranking
“My prayers for you is to have more years in good health, wisdom and strength to continue with your good and selfless service to humanity,” the governor added in a statement.
The list of prominent Nigerians who celebrated Dangote also include Senator Bala Mohammed, former Lagos State Governor, Akinwumi Ambode, Speaker of the House of Assembly, Femi Gbajabiamila, Personal Assistant to the President on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, CEO of Cubana Groups, Obinna ‘Obi’ Iyiegbu aka Obi Cubana, among others.
