Lagos East Senatorial Ticket: Kaoli Olusanya Sets To Join Race, Gets Tinubu’s Tacit Support
If the news reaching BlackBox Nigeria is true, then former two-term Lagos State Commissioner for Agriculture and Cooperatives, Asipa Kaoli Olusanya may be set to join the race to replace late Senator Bayo Osinowo for the Lagos East Senatorial District ticket under the banners of All Progressives Congress.
The educationist who owns one of the most expensive primary and secondary schools in Ikorodu, BlackBox Nigeria gathered has finally secured the tacit approval of the National Leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to join the race.
News from the grapevine revealed that the owner of Kith and Kin Educational Schools who is the current APC Vice Chairman of Lagos East had been waiting on Tinubu to make his ambition public.
Kaoli had served as Commissioner for Agriculture during Tinubu’s administration and has been a strong political ally ever since. When Senator Ashafa was to be dispossessed of his ticket in 2015, it was said that Tinubu had wanted to give it to Asipa Kaoli to compensate people of Ikorodu before giving it to late Bayo Osinowo.
Now that Osinowo is to be replaced, Kaoli who has been in the shadow for years and whose daughter is the current acting Commissioner for Agriculture under the Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration is coming out to take the Red Chamber seat.
