The Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Dr Muyideen Adeola Jokomba, popularly known as JK, has been elected the Lagos State Deputy Chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) of Nigeria. The closely contested election, which took place at the Lagos State INEC office, witnessed the participation of eighteen political parties.
The keenly contested victory came amidst the disqualification of one party.
Adeola Jokomba, currently serving as the Lagos APC secretary, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. A trained Master in Social Work from Lagos State University (LASU), he holds additional qualifications in Clinical Psychology from Western Ville University, San Diego, California, USA, and a BSc (Hons) in Health & Social Care (Mental Health) from Thames Valley University, UK.
Jokomba is a two-term former Chairman of Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area (LCDA) and an aspirant for the Lagos State House of Assembly in 2023. He assumed the role of Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Lagos State, in August 2023, succeeding Hon. Olanrewaju Sunmi Odesanya.
His concurrent roles as Secretary to the ruling party in Lagos State and now Deputy Chairman of IPAC would allow him to foster cooperation among political parties, thus, promising a positive impact on governance and development in Lagos State.
