Bandits have once again wreaked havoc in Abuja, claiming the life of Barr. Chris Agidy, the Senior Legislative Aide to Senator Ned Nwoko.

This incident happened three months after Agidi was abducted by these nefarious criminals in 2023.

Confirmed by the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the tragic demise of Agidy marks another dark chapter in the ongoing battle against insecurity.

Recall that in November 2023, at least 19 persons were kidnapped from their homes in the Galadimawa area of the nation’s capital by bandits.

A report later emerged revealing that 12 of the abductees were killed.

Providing further details on Agidy’s death, Adeh stated that the lawmaker’s aide was killed by one of the notorious kidnappers terrorizing the country’s capital city, Samaila Wakili.

She therefore said Wakili got arrested on February 24 at the Sardauna Forest, in the Toto area of Nasarawa State, by police operatives, adding that he, upon his arrest, “led police operatives to where the remains of Barr. Chris Agidy is”.

She also noted that “the remains was recovered and deposited in Gwagwalada General Hospital”.
