A major talking point of guests at the event which also featured Dinner, Cocktail, and Humanitarian Award Presentation was how an initiative barely a year could have achieved all it did in the time past with no financial support from government or affiliation with any established body.

In her remark, Vivianne Adelakun, Founder and President of the Hope Emerge initiative who expressed her excitement so far for the experiences gained giving back to the society reiterated that the event was a clarion call to those that shared in the vision to graciously support it financially.

Reeling out some of the future plans of Hope Emerge in the coming year, the philanthropist who sounded fatigued from the just concluded medical outreach by the group to Alogomeji-Yaba community in Lagos assured that the team will go back to the basics by taking a look on the budget and coming back stronger with lofty ideas that will positively impact the society.

“Right about now, we are going to take a look at our budget and plan bigger for next year, the break won’t take too long as there will be something for December until we commence full operation come January.

“We are going to fortify our medical missions due to our previous responses; we are going to continue also with our empowerment schemes.

Vivianne Adelakun was also quick to debunk assertions if the current economic challenges of the nation will affect the initiative, she assured that the whole idea of the concept is to come to the aid of victims of the poor economic realities.

She eventually assured that the scope of the group will be enhanced to cover other states and touch aspects like domestic and child abuse in the coming year.

According to the Executive Secretary of Hope Emerge, Mrs. Akinsanya Adeola who was awarded for her selfless humanitarian services over the year expressed her passion to give back to the society through the initiative that has now offered a platform of expression.

She further corroborated the founder’s vision of expanding the reach of the initiative across other states of the federation and accredited the team’s influence within the short space of a year to passion and the drive to help the needy.

When asked about the challenges so far, aside from the limited finances available she pointed out some of the hostility posed by certain host communities who thinks Hope Emerge is politically affiliated.

Some of the dignitaries and awardees in the party include; Hon. Saheed Kekere Ekun, Dr. Hamed Ninalowo, Dr. Fatai Abatan, Dr. Wale Sulaimon, Mrs. Modupe Adepitan Ayinde and Mrs. Bunmi Olubanjo among others.
