Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, and his estranged wife, actress Annie Macaulay, have sparked fresh reactions after following each other again on Instagram amidst recent drama with his lover, Natasha Osawaru.
Checks on their respective Instagram accounts on Monday indicated that Annie had followed 2Baba, with the singer subsequently following her back.
The development has attracted attention because the former couple had previously unfollowed each other following the collapse of their marriage.
Their renewed social media connection has also fueled speculation among fans about the state of their relationship, although neither 2Baba nor Annie has publicly announced a reconciliation.
The development comes weeks after rumours of a reunion circulated online following the resurfacing of an old video showing the former couple sharing an affectionate moment.
However, both Annie and 2Baba dismissed the suggestion that the video was recent. Annie described the circulating footage as old, while 2Baba similarly clarified that it was an old video.
2Baba and Annie married in 2012 and have two daughters, Isabella and Olivia. Their separation became public in January 2025 when 2Baba announced that their marriage had ended.
The singer later began a relationship with Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru, whom he subsequently married.
The renewed Instagram connection between 2Baba and Annie therefore marks a notable change from August 2025, when reports confirmed that the former couple had unfollowed each other on the platform.
Despite the latest development, there has been no official confirmation from either party that they are getting back together.
For now, their decision to reconnect on Instagram has left fans speculating about whether it signals a renewed friendship, improved co-parenting relationship or something more.
