A 25-year-old Nigerian scholar, Emmanuel Oyelami, is drawing national attention after completing a remarkable academic journey marked by distinctions at every stage: from secondary school to the Nigerian Law School.
Oyelami, an indigene of Oyo State, recently graduated with a First Class from the Nigerian Law School, adding to his earlier First Class (LL.B) degree from University of Ibadan. His latest achievement has triggered widespread commendation across social media, where many have hailed his consistency and discipline.
The academic standout first gained recognition in 2016 after scoring nine A1 grades in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), excelling in subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Government, Literature-in-English, and French.
He proceeded to study law at the University of Ibadan, where he graduated in 2024 with a First Class degree and emerged as the best graduating student in International Law and Jurisprudence, further cementing his reputation as a top-performing scholar.
At the Nigerian Law School, Oyelami sustained his academic excellence by earning another First Class, effectively achieving what many have described as a “double first class” in legal education.
Born on September 29, 2000, Oyelami attended Saint Francis Catholic College in Oyo, where his academic brilliance first came to the fore. Observers say his steady rise reflects years of discipline, hard work, and a consistent pursuit of excellence.
His achievement comes at a time when stories of academic distinction continue to highlight the potential of Nigerian students to compete globally when supported by strong educational foundations.
For many young Nigerians, Oyelami’s journey is emerging as a powerful example of what sustained focus and academic commitment can achieve.
