The Olódò IDE Movement has formally stepped into Nigeria’s political space as an independent campaign group backing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, positioning itself as a grassroots platform focused on mobilising broad-based support across the country.
In a press statement released on Thursday and made available to BlackBox Nigeria, the group said its formation reflects a shared commitment to progressive governance, national development, and the strengthening of democratic values. The Movement aligns itself with the Renewed Hope agenda and aims to drive participation from key segments of society, including youths, professionals, artisans, and community leaders.
The group described itself as people-driven and issue-focused, with plans to deepen civic engagement and political awareness at the grassroots level. It said its operations will centre on community outreach, public enlightenment, and strategic engagement designed to connect citizens with governance processes.
Beyond political mobilisation, the Olódò IDE Movement stated that its agenda includes advocacy for policies that support economic growth, social inclusion, and sustainable development. It aims to function as a bridge between the public and what it described as transformational leadership goals.
The Movement stressed its independence, noting that its activities will be guided by integrity, accountability, and service to Nigerians. Its support for President Tinubu, it added, is based on his leadership record and approach to nation-building.
The group also issued a call for wider public participation, urging Nigerians to engage actively in shaping the country’s democratic future.

The statement was signed by Pastor Adekanbi Adefolarin EKO, National Coordinator, alongside Alhaja Rashidat Ajoke, National Deputy Coordinator, Honorable Idayat Anifowoshe, National Woman Leader, Comrade Yakubu Arowoshola Eleto, National Legal Adviser, and Alhaji Abdul Akeem Adeyemi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
