“Don’t Rush me”— Trump Rules Out Nuclear Strike on Iran

U.S. President Donald Trump has said the United States will not deploy nuclear weapons in its ongoing conflict with Iran, stressing that conventional military operations remain sufficient to achieve Washington’s objectives.

Speaking amid escalating tensions, Trump dismissed the need for nuclear escalation, arguing that American forces have already inflicted significant damage on Iran’s military infrastructure without resorting to such measures.

“Why do I need nuclear?” Trump was quoted as saying, as he reiterated his opposition to the use of nuclear weapons in the conflict.

His remarks come against the backdrop of a prolonged confrontation between both countries, with the U.S. claiming to have weakened Iran’s naval, air and defence capabilities through sustained conventional strikes.

Despite ruling out nuclear options, Trump maintained a hardline stance, warning that military action could intensify if diplomatic efforts fail.

He indicated that remaining Iranian targets could still be struck if Tehran refuses to reach a deal with Washington.

The U.S. leader also signalled that he is not under pressure to quickly conclude negotiations, emphasising his preference for a “lasting” resolution rather than a rushed agreement.

The latest comments mark a notable shift in tone after earlier rhetoric raised fears of broader escalation, including speculation about potential use of nuclear weapons.

Analysts say Trump’s position may help ease immediate global concerns, even as tensions in the region remain high.
