A popular Twitter troll, Daniel Regha has caused a stir on the microblogging platform after he slammed Grammy-winning singer, Burna Boy over his sixth studio album, “Love Damini” released on Thursday night.

Regha, who is known for his ‘blunt’ opinions and penchant for trolling people including celebrities, shared his thoughts on the album.

According to him, the 19-track album lacks activism, a quality that makes Burna Boy distinct from other artistes.

“Burna’s “Love, Damini” incorporates the African theme, which is good but he d!dn’t push his pen cos that Burna sauce that makes him a standout is m!ssing; I expected him to use the album as a form of activism. Only two songs (How Bad Could It Be, & Common Person) are relatable,” he tweeted on Friday morning.

However, fans of the singer disagreed with the view and slammed the troll for his opinion on the latest project from the African Giant.

@FynBoyAjebutter said, “Make you and agbado vibes gather release album.”

“Abeg gather boys make dem beat this weyrey. Maybe he go shut him mouth for once,” threatened @IamBizzib

For @99heartbreaks, “Burna boy is a musician not an activist, if you dey find activist go an visit Sunday and Nnamdi Kalu or follow sowore.”

@davidoladayo4 noted, “Burna said it before the release of the album that he’s not going to be talking about issues (cultural issues )a lot in the album that he want the album to be all about him which is why he named it love damini.”

@locovoko argued, “That was a beautiful body of work, Burna boy isn’t an activist and he doesn’t do music for only Nigerians anymore. I think you have to increase your comprehension game instead of criticizing all the time.”

Meanwhile, Burna Boy’s “Love Damini” is a follow-up his 2020 hit album, “Twice as Tall” which earned the singer a Grammy in the Best Global Album category, in 2021.

According to Billboard, the album ranked No. 1 on the World Albums chart and debuted at No. 54 on the all-genre Billboard 200.
