Mixed reactions have trailed the reports that legendary Nigerian singer, Innocent Idibia popularly known as 2face (or 2Baba) has impregnated a mystery woman.
BlackBox Nigeria had reported that the father-of-seven is said to be expecting his eight child, which was why he penned a public apology to his wife, Annie Idibia, on Monday.
But a Nigerian journalist, Olawale Olaleye believes that the 46-year-old singer shouldn’t be singled out for criticisms, saying the mystery woman deserves to be blamed too.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, Olaleye who works as a Deputy Editor at ThisDay newspapers, noted that despite knowing 2Baba’s complicated lifestyle, the yet-to-be-known woman still had unprotected sexual relations with him.
He added it was time for people to start blaming the women who offer themselves to the married musician who already has two baby mamas.
The post reads, “The story of Tuface is public knowledge – the many women in his life and his beautiful as well as properly raised children.
“Yet, in spite of this, a certain woman, who knows him so well and his story, consents to a sexual relationship (unprotected) and when the news of the result of their amorous affair is out, it’s all about Tuface impregnating another woman (as if he forced her to bed).
“What happens to the woman, who willfully gave herself to Tuface, despite knowing his supposedly complicated lifestyle and social status?
“Please, leave Tuface alone. As we can see, he appears to lack self-control and personal discipline. Those are his personal inadequacies and might have resigned to fate. We all have the demon we live and deal with.
“But what have you to say about those women, who know these things, want him regardless and not eager to help him rise above his “affliction” instead?
“Oh, they’re free from reproach, abi? A ni hypocrisy o ni pa wa. Shio! That’s so unfair. Well, I think it’s time to stop blaming Tuface and start to tell the truth to those women, who want a bit of him, and consciously complicating his life further. Truth!”
