Several incidents of violence has been reportedly marred the governorship and senatorial rerun elections in Kogi State, BlackBox Nigeria has learnt.

Several polling units were invaded by political thugs who scattered votes casted in ballot boxes

According to reports in several locations, including Lokogonma, Lokoja, Iluofa, Okedayo, among others witnessed different degrees of violence carried out by political thugs suspected to be sponsored by Governor Yahaya Bello of the APC.

Asides the violence, reports of votes buying also recorded across the State as different individuals believed to belong to either the APC or PDP were caught on camera sharing money for voters during the election

.

Senator Dino Melaye, who is also contesting in the rerun of Senatorial Election was allegedly caught on camera sharing money earlier today

Meanwhile, in Bayless State where governorship election is also being conducted by the Independent Electoral Commission, no violence has been reported in the media as at press time.

As at the time of filing this report, results collation are ongoing in all the collation centres in both States.
