Vinicius Jnr Shines As Madrid Wins First ElClásico At Home Since 2014
Spanish top flight club, Real Madrid moments ago stopped their rival, Barcelona in a 2-0 game after an outstanding performance, making it a first win at home in ElClásico since 2014.
The two goals were scored by 19year old Vinicius Jnr and late substitute Mariano thereby pushing their side to the top of the table with a point above their arch-rival.
The match was a bit balanced during the first half as both team created chances but none was converted to goals. The duos of Marcelo and Varane had a filled day stopping Barcelona forwards, Messi and Greizman.
After the break, the tempo of the match increased with Madrid creating more chances, one of which was a clear pass from Kroos to Vinicius Jnr who pushed into the Barça’s box and fired a shot which deflected off Pique and passed through Ter Stegen to the back of the net.
Madrid defended the lead into the die minutes of the match until it doubled the tally through a late substitute, Mariano who slammed the ball passed Barcelona’s goalie.
Despite being put under some stress during the match, Thibaut Cortoius managed to keep a clean sheet till end of the match.
