After being suspended as a result of anti-Semitic tweets he posted using his account, Kanye West, also known as Ye, had his Twitter account restored.
The rapper tweeted to his nearly 32 million followers, “Testing Testing Seeing if my Twitter is unblocked,” and the tweet received more than 600k likes.
Following a tweet on October 9 that was reported by the Twitter community for breaking its rules, Kanye was suspended. In later interviews and social media posts on other platforms, he continued to make anti-Semitic remarks. He lost his relationships and several brand deals as a result of this action.
His tweet received a variety of responses, as followers had varying views on his return to the social network. A tweep with the handle @MulhollandL0ver tweeted “Kanye my name is Jorhon Mülholland. I just want you to know that I still love you. You’ve hurt my Jewish wife & her community multiple times but there’s just something about you I can’t let go. I was raised on your music. My wife refuses to have sex with me bc of this. Idc”
