Following a tweet on October 9 that was reported by the Twitter community for breaking its rules, Kanye was suspended. In later interviews and social media posts on other platforms, he continued to make anti-Semitic remarks. He lost his relationships and several brand deals as a result of this action.

His tweet received a variety of responses, as followers had varying views on his return to the social network. A tweep with the handle @MulhollandL0ver tweeted “Kanye my name is Jorhon Mülholland. I just want you to know that I still love you. You’ve hurt my Jewish wife & her community multiple times but there’s just something about you I can’t let go. I was raised on your music. My wife refuses to have sex with me bc of this. Idc”
