Olayinka Tinubu, son of Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has graduated from the University of Surrey in the United Kingdom, marking a significant academic milestone for the president’s family.
Reports indicate that Olayinka completed a postgraduate degree at the university’s business school, earning a Master of Science (MSc) in International Financial Management.
The graduation ceremony was attended by family members, including his brother Seyi Tinubu, who joined in celebrating the achievement.
Images and videos from the event have circulated online, showing the young graduate in academic regalia alongside relatives and well-wishers.
Olayinka is one of the children of President Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu.
Olayinka, unlike his brother, Seyi, rarely make public appearance even in political settings. He was seen during the official handover of power in 2023 by the former administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
His graduation adds to a growing list of academic accomplishments among children of top Nigerian political figures who pursue higher education abroad.
The development has attracted attention on social media, with many Nigerians congratulating the Tinubu family while also reigniting conversations around overseas education among the country’s elite.
