A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to Nigerian cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, following weeks of detention at the Kuje Correctional Centre.

Blord was granted bail on Friday after being arraigned in court over allegations linked to impersonation involving social media personality Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan.

According to reports, the court granted him bail on self-recognition but ordered him to deposit his international passport as part of the conditions for his release.

Omoyole Sowore was also seen in court this afternoon at the bail application hearing, advocate for his release.

The businessman had been remanded since April 1, 2026, after facing charges that include impersonation and related offences stemming from an ongoing dispute with the activist.

His bail followed earlier developments in the case, including the withdrawal of opposition to his release by authorities and the scheduling of a hearing to consider his bail application.

Blord’s case has attracted significant public attention, highlighting the growing intersection between social media influence, business interests, and legal disputes in Nigeria.

The matter is expected to continue in court as proceedings resume on the substantive charges.
