English raised actor, Tomiwa Edun has been in our faces for quite a while but only a few people knew he had Nigerian blood. The Merlin actor who played the role of Sir Elyan in the popular series was actually born in Lagos some 37 years ago.
His father is the cerebral Olawale Edun who served as the Commissioner for Finance during the administration of Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Just yesterday, he was named the Special Adviser to the President on Monetary Policy, a role that is expected to help spin the country’s decaying economy around.
Tomiwa Edun on the hand has been busy with his career as an actor. He is also the personality behind the character, Alex Hunter in the football video games, FIFA 17, FIFA 18 and FIFA 19.
