Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has been made the final shortlist for the CAF Women’s Player of the Year award.

Nnadozie was named alongside teammate and Barcelona Femeni star Asisat Oshoala.

Nnadozie, who plays as a goalkeeper for Paris FC, was also nominated in the Goalkeeper of the Year category.

The 22-year-old is no stranger to awards in recognition of her impressive performance. She was named Goalkeeper of the Season at the Eagles Tracker Awards for two consecutive seasons.

She was also named in the Nigerian Golden Gloves in the 2022/23 season.

At the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, Nnadozie was the captain for the Super Falcons in their first game against Canada. She made three saves, including stopping a 50th-minute penalty from Christine Sinclair.

She also made history by becoming the youngest-ever goalkeeper to keep a clean sheet at a Women’s World Cup back in the 2019.
