Solution To Lagos Housing Deficit, Build 800 Units Of Homes Every Month – Babatunde O. Gbadamosi

Nigeria’s real estate wonder-man, Babatunde Olalere Gbadamosi (BOG), says he has the solution to addressing the Housing deficit in Lagos State.

The Chairman of Redbrick Homes and brain behind the iconic Amen Estate in Ibeju-Lekki area of Lagos State said he would use his experience in the real estate to develop 800 units of affordable homes for Lagosians every month.

In a statement made available to BlackBox Nigeria, the Governorship Aspirant for Action Democratic Party in Lagos State said, “For a state suffering from the kind of homelessness problem we have in Lagos, bungalows are most definitely not the solution. The way forward is high rise, well spaced out estates with captive power, water supply and central sewage installed, in every LGA of the state.”

While belittling the plans of the incumbent Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode to build 100 bungalows per month starting in 2019, he noted that 35 years ago, the government of Alhaji Lateef Jakande built 20,000 affordable homes for Lagosians in 4 years, an average of about 400 homes per month, despite not having  prior experience of large scale real estate development.

“As Governor of Lagos State, utilizing my experience as an accomplished real estate developer, I will build 800 affordable homes for Lagosians every month, giving a total of 40,000 affordable homes in 4 years, at the very minimum,” BOG whose campaign mantra is to offer beyond ordinary governance said.

The Ikorodu born politician is counting on Lagosians to vote out the ruling All Progressives Congress in 2019 elections.
