Nigerian Afrobeat star Shodade Solomon Segun, popularly known as Shoday, is set to make his big screen debut in Funke Akindele’s new movie, THE FOUR.
The official poster for the film was released, confirming Shoday’s role in the highly anticipated project.
He appears front and center in a bold red and yellow traditional outfit, alongside a star-studded cast.
The movie is scheduled to hit cinemas nationwide on December 11, 2026.
This marks Shoday’s first feature film appearance. The singer, known for hits like “Adura”, “Soboma” and the 2026 chart-topper “Paparazzi”with FOLA, has steadily transitioned from music into acting.
Funke Akindele, Nigeria’s box office queen behind Battle on Buka Street, A Tribe Called Judah, and Everybody Loves Jenifa, is directing and producing the film.
With her track record of ₦1 billion+ grossing movies, expectations for THE FOUR are already sky high.
For Shoday, the project is a major milestone, going from studio sessions to center frame in a Funke Akindele blockbuster.
