In an interesting turn of events, MultiChoice confirmed today that its SuperSport channels will broadcast all the 52 games of 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) hosted by Côte d’Ivoire.

The South African company had earlier stated that it failed to acquire the exclusive broadcasting rights for the much anticipated tournament.

DStv Nigeria confirmed the change in development in a post on X on Wednesday.

“No gree for anybody! Watch all 52 matches of the #afcon2023 on @supersports,” the post read.

Recalled that MultiChoice lost out on the AFCON broadcasting rights to New World TV, a Togolese media group that won exclusive rights to transmit Confederation of African Football’s (CAF) tournaments for the next two years.

Meanwhile, BlackBox Nigeria reported today that the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) struck a deal to air all the AFCON 2023 games.
