“I feel blessed and honoured not only to be making my debut as a lead actor, but to have also executively produced this film,” she wrote.

“I honestly can’t wait to take you guys along with me on this next phase of my life and art…. I’m just getting started.”

The Afrobeats queen thanked the director, Meji Alabi, and the producers, Jadesola Osiberu and Ifeoma Nkiruka Chukwuogo, for their work and support.

‘Water And Garri’ is a drama that explores the themes of identity, culture, love and family.

The film’s title is a reference to a popular Nigerian dish made of cassava flour and water, which is often eaten as a staple food or snack.
