The General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Christian Ministry Pastor W.F. Kumuyi has offered special prayers for Lagos State University for its continued growth and development towards regaining its rightful position in the comity of Universities across the globe.
Pastor Kumuyi, while delivering the sermon “personal victory over sins, victory over sickness and permanent victory over satan”, offered prayers for the Institution, her Students, Members of Staff (Teaching and Non-Teaching), Vice Chancellor, University Management, Senate, Governing Council and the entire University Community during a revival programme “Night of Divine Freedom” held at LASU Sports Centre, Main Campus, Ojo, on Sunday, 14 th August, 2016.
The Man of God prayed for the mighty revival of LASU, its turn around and divine touch in the life of the Institution. “I pray for love amongst the staff, students and the entire Community, present peace, personal peace, peace in the family, peace in every department, peace in every Faculty, peace in the Institution and permanent victory…. whatever area they need to forgive each other, forgiveness will flow, I cancel violence in this institution and Lord we pray that you stop premature death, devilish activities will come to an end, powers of darkness will come to an end. I pray the leadership of this institution will have your wisdom and your mighty hand will be upon them… LASU will become the preferred University, we will see your glory on this land, from this very day there will be a turning around from good to better, better to best, let there be prosperity, let the students all do well … in Jesus name we pray. It is done, I said it is done, we will see the hand of God on LASU” he concluded.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. ‘Lanre Fagbohun earlier in his address, welcomed the powerful man of God and stressed the need for everyone to forgive one another and continue to live in peace
“We are LASU, we are Proud! The entire LASU Community welcomes you. We are so delighted to have each and everyone of you. My brothers and sisters, this is unprecedented in the life of LASU. Almighty God is with us, working with us, if we allow what will happen tonight in our lives, our lives will never remain the same. Thank you so much, we are happy to have you in our midst”. VC said.
Members of staff of the Lagos State University were part of the thousands of people who attended the important spiritually-filled revival.
