Nigerian content creator and skitmaker Kemi Ikuseedun, popularly known as Mummy Wa, has opened up about why she remains single at nearly 30 years old.
The popular comedian revealed that she has a tendency to fall in love with fictional characters from movies rather than real-life men, a habit she says has affected her romantic life.
Speaking in a video shared online, Mummy Wa explained that many women can relate to becoming emotionally attached to characters portrayed in films and television series.
According to her, she has long admired South Korean actor Lee Min Ho, particularly for his role in the hit drama Boys Over Flowers, and jokingly admitted that she is still waiting for someone like the character he portrayed.
“The reason why I am still single is because I went to go and fall in love with a fictional character. And it is not only me; a lot of women fall for fictional characters. But where are we going to see him?” she said.
She added:
“I am almost 30, and I am still waiting for Lee Min Ho. What if I meet Lee Min Ho in real life and he is not the same as the person in Boys Over Flowers? Honestly, I am still single because it is only fictional characters I keep falling for.”
Her comments have sparked reactions on social media, with many fans sharing similar experiences of developing crushes on fictional movie and television characters.
