New Oba Oniru Seals Properties Belonging To Sons Of Late Oniru
Properties belonging to sons of late Oba Idowu Abiodun Oniru are being allegedly sealed off by the new Oniru, Oba Abdulwasiu Omogbolahan Lawal.
According to pictures gathered by BlackBox Nigeria, four choice properties located in different locations in Victoria Island (Iru Land) had seals of the Oba Oniru pasted on the gates with “STOP WORK ORDER” instructions.
It will be recalled that crisis has been brewing in the Oniru royal family since the emergence of the 15th Oniru, Oba Lawal. It was reported that weeks after his installation as new traditional ruler, loyalists and children of the late Oba Oniru were still parading themselves as land owners just as they continue to collect “dues” from residents and shop owners in Oniru Market.
Also, over the weekend, a physical assault was carried out against a son of late Oniru, Prince Tijani Oniru after heated confrontation with emissaries of the new Oba Oniru, which were led by Prince Murisiku Ajasa, a junior brother to an aspirant to the throne.
