May Day: Workers Are Partners-In-Progress With Government- Lagos Speaker, Obasa

The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has congratulated Nigerian workers on the May Day celebration.

Rt. Hon. Obasa in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Musbau Razak, stated that the Nigerian workers deserved to be praised and commended for their persevrance, diligence and cooperation with government at all levels.

“I salute your courage, cooperation and support for government at all levels which have contributed to the success recorded so far by government at all levels to improve the standard of living of our people,” he said.

The Lagos Assembly Speaker stated further that workers are an integral part of any developmental programme of any government because they are partners in progress with government at all levels.

Rt. Hon. Obasa assured Nigerian workers that government at all levels will continue to work to put in place programmes and policies which will enhance the standard of living of the workers and also improve their welfare.

“The administration of the All Progressive Congress (APC) at all levels of government is workers’ friendly government hence will continue to put in place programmes and policies that will improve the standard of living of the Nigerian workers as well as enhance their welfare,” he said.

Rt. Hon. Obasa called on Nigerian workers not to relent in their support and cooperation for government at all levels. “We are partners in progress with our joint aim being making life better for our people. Therefore, I want to implore you not to relent in your cooperation and support for government at all levels. We all have a duty to make life better for Nigerians in general and to achieve this, we must continue to work together.

“Once again, I congratulate you on this year’s workers’ day and I wish you all a succeful celebration,” the Lagos Assembly Speaker said.
