Seyi Vibez has recorded a major streaming feat in Nigeria, with songs from his newly released album, SWAGUU, occupying almost the entire top 15 positions on Apple Music Nigeria.
As of Thursday, September 24, tracks from the album held 14 of the first 15 spots on the platform’s Top Songs chart, with only the 13th position occupied by a song outside the project.
The takeover places Seyi Vibez ahead of several major Nigerian and international releases currently competing for attention on the platform.
The album, which contains 12 tracks, has also continued to generate strong numbers on Spotify. Reports indicate that SWAGUU crossed 50 million streams on Spotify within six days of its release, with every song on the project recording more than one million streams.
Among the songs driving the album’s performance are Ilome, GTA, Volume, Back 2 U and Diamonds.
The development is another indication of how strongly Seyi Vibez’s recent releases have connected with Nigerian streaming audiences, particularly as the singer continues to build on the momentum around his previous projects.
With SWAGUU still fresh, its chart performance could change as other new releases enter the market, but its early showing has already placed Seyi Vibez at the centre of Nigeria’s current streaming conversation.
