Lagos Police Foils Kidnappers’ Plan, Arrests Two, Rescues Victim

 

Officers attached to the Elemoro Police Station, Ajah on Wednesday night foiled an attempt by kidnappers to whisk away their victim. The gang of two was immediately arrested while the victim, one Mrs Mildred was rescued.

BlackBox Nigeria gathered from a Police source that the kidnappers were first reported by a resident who noticed and heard the voice of a woman crying for help at the back of a Volkswagen Golf car. She immediately made a distress call to the Divisional Police Officer of Elemoro, Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohammed Shehu Limawa.

The eyewitness, a lady also gave the DPO the car’s registration number as KRD 845 EC, this prompted the Police boss to instruct the Patrol Team to slow down traffic on the Expressway in order to search for the suspected kidnapper’s car.

It was gathered that the Police patrol Team were able to locate the Golf 3 at about 9:43pm after it ran into the gridlock which was intentionally caused by the Police officers on the orders of the DPO. The victim was then taken to the hospital as she had suffered from an injury inflicted by the kidnappers on her forehead.

The Police source also disclosed that the suspects, Igwe Sunday 28yrs and Chukwuemeka Bright 21yrs were arrested with a locally made pistol and have been handed over to the operatives of the Special Anti Robbery Squad for further investigations.
