By Just In: Buhari Sacks Babachir Lawal And NIA DG, Ayo Oke, Appoints Replacement
President Muhammadu Buhari moments ago approved the sacking of Secretary to Government of the Federation, Engr Babachir David Lawal and Director General of National Intelligence Agency, Professor Ayo Oke.
BlackBox Nigeria gathered that the sacking of the two high ranking cabinet members is coming weeks after Osinbajo-led panel submitted an investigative report to President Buhari.
It will be recalled that the former SGF was indicted in a report by the Nigerian Senate during its oversight functions on activities of the Presidential Initiative for North East where irregularities were found.
On the other hand, NIA boss, Oke was found wanting when money belonging to the agency when was found in cash in an Ikoyi apartment.
While Babachir Lawal has been replaced by Boss Mustapha as new SGF, no replacement have been announced for the vacant position at the NIA.
