By Just In! Buhari Holds Emergency Meeting With Ortom In Abuja
Moments ago, Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State arrived the Aso Rock Presidential Villa and immediately went into meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.
BlackBox Nigeria gathered that the meeting, which is the first since the Fulani herdsmen started killing people in Benue State, may be connected to the recent New Year killings and the outburst of Governor Ortom in a recent interview.
It will be recalled that Governor Ortom while speaking with the press last week revealed that just before the attacks, he had contacted the Federal Government to inform them about a planned attack by herdsmen and disclosed that the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore leadership had promised to cause violence in the State.
Before the arrival of Governor Ortom in Abuja, President Buhari on late Monday night had ordered that the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris mni relocate to Benue State in order to maintain peace and order in the wake of unrest bedeviling the State.
