The just-concluded eight edition of the African Magic Viewers Choice Awards may have come and gone. It, however, etched some memories in the hearts of many.

Held on Saturday night at the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos, the much talked-about event had celebrities splashing the screens of Africans with their dashing outfits.

One of those who added colour to the night was Nollywood actress, Osas Ighodaro who went home with two plaques — one for her talent, the other for her fashion sense.

It all started when the talented model-turned-movie star clinched the award for ‘Best Actress in a Drama (Movie/TV Series)’ for her brilliant performance as ‘Amara’ in the 2020 film, ‘Rattlesnake: The Ahanna Story’. She won the coveted category ahead of fellow Nollywood stars such as Bisola Aiyeola, Genoveva Umeh, Nancy Isime and Kehinde Bankole.

Receiving the plaque, she couldn’t hold back her tears as she dedicated her first AMVCA award to her late mother who supported her while working on the movie.

Little did Ighodaro know that she’d be called to the stage for a second time. Having graced the red carpet in a captivating silver and gold lace dress made by fashion genius, Veeke James, it was no surprise that she won the ‘Best Dressed Female’ award, beating the duo of Bimbo Ademoye and Bisola Aiyeola.

Not only did the gorgeous actress clinch her first AMVCA honour but she also did it while looking impeccable. Congratulations Osas!
