Chidimma Susan Ezenyili, a Nigerian lawyer turned carer in the UK, has been reported dead after suffering from illness.

Residents of Bishop’s Stortford United hurriedly tried to save the life of a 37-year-old Nigerian lawyer turned Carer who tragically collapsed in the street and later passed away.

Fondly called Suzy, Ezenyili had been battling illness but was determined to fulfill her duties as a career for her elderly client, Ian Hale, despite her deteriorating health.

Ezenyili, alongside her husband Friday and their three-year old daughter Mandy, immigrated to the UK from Nigeria in August last year in pursuit of a better life. Both worked as carers on sponsorship visas, with Ezenyili’s qualifications as a lawyer in Nigeria highlighting her ambition to forge a brighter future for her family.

Her illness, a brain hemorrhage, before discovery by the family resulted into her collapse on February 22, prompting her husband and concerned neighbors to spring into action by taking her to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.

Tragically, she passed away after her life support was withdrawn, leaving behind her husband and young daughter.

In response to the family’s plight, a JustGiving appeal has been established to help Friday and Mandy during this challenging time.
