Fact Check: Atiku’s Tweet On Fuel Scarcity Instigated President Buhari Statement
Several days after the fuel scarcity returned to major cities across the country, President Muhammadu Buhari moments ago identified himself with every Nigerians as he sympathises with the agony each and everyone is going through, but he might have been forced to speak on it.
While many Nigerians have been groaning in pains due to bad experiences caused by the fuel scarcity and long queues at the fueling stations, President Buhari only reacted after a close rival, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar spoke on the issue early Sunday morning.
Checks by BlackBox Nigeria revealed that the former Vice President sent out his heart to all affected by the scourge of the scarcity very early on Sunday, 24th December, a development that evoked the silence in the presidential villa over same situation. See Atiku’s message below…
It will be recalled that rather than speak on the scarcity issue, presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina announced the commencement of a special documentary in honour of the Human side of President Buhari. He was immediately blasted by his followers who queried why his principal failed to address the nation on the shortage of petroleum products.
Buhari, who also doubles as the Minister of Petroleum Resources was then forced to speak on the issue when his supposed rival in the forthcoming General Elections, (2019).
