End of an era as Peter Drury bids farewell to Premier League

Legendary Premier League commentator, Peter Drury has announced that he has call time on his stint at the Premier League’s production.

NBC’s Arlo White will be replaced by the legendary Peter Drury, who has been covering top Premier League games and was recently featured on the league’s world feed.

The news of the replacement was disclosed by an individual who spoke on the condition of anonymity on Tuesday because the information was not supposed to be made public yet. The development was first reported by England’s Daily Mail and World Soccer Talk.

The Leicester-born award winning commentator advanced into limelight when he came into the Premier League in 2013, having benched the likes of Jon Champion and others.

Ever since then, the “football poet” has delivered wonderful commentary on some of the biggest occasions in world football, which include 2014 FIFA World Cup final match between Germany and Argentina on 13th June, 2014 at the Maracana Stadium.

Subsequently, he formed a formidable partnership with co-commentator and Irishman, Jim Beglin, winning multiple commentary related awards which include the twice winning of the Football Supporters’ Association awards for commentators, beating the likes of Darren Fletcher, Conor McNamara, Guy Mowbray, John Murray, and Martin Tyler to the award.
