By Dino Melaye is in the news again, this time around it is not for performing his popular “Aje kun iya” or for jumping out of a police van but for now assuming the proverbial role of prophet Elijah in the Bible who went into hiding when king Ahab sought to kill him.
This sudden development may not be unconnected to last week’s outburst by the lawmaker representing Kogi West Senatorial District in the National Assembly that there is a threat to his life and plans to arrest and inject him to death by the Federal Government in connivance with the Inspector General of Police.
In his words “The Bible record prophet Elijah to be among one of the strongest prophets that lived ,but he went to mount Carmel to hide when king Ahab sought him to kill him cos of the way he boldly declared the truth. There is a difference with being scared and being wise.”
The senator in a back and forth with the Federal Government further stated on Twitter that he has no fears about the future while he claimed that his decision to go underground was borne out of wisdom and not cowardice.
