The Chief of Army Staff, Nigerian Army, Lt Gen TY Buratai was in Ikeja Army Cantonment, Lagos to inspect ongoing projects to ascertain their state of readiness for occupation.
The COAS who was accompanied by the GOC 81 Division, Nigerian Army, Maj Gen JO Irefin and his other Principal Staff Officers was received by the Commander 9 Brigade, Brig Gen MA Etsu-Ndagi after Quarter Guards’ inspection proceeded on guided tour of facilities of Nigerian Army Aviation Pilot accommodation of 10 self-contained flats. It would be recalled that barely 3 weeks ago, the COAS commissioned 7 units of Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) Quarters at Ikeja Army Cantonment. These projects which were embarked by the Nigerian Army Special Projects Department will subsequently be commissioned at later date to ameliorate acute shortage of accommodation experienced by the Nigerian Army troops.
