Belgium has emerged winner of the 3rd Place match after defeating fellow Group G member, England. The match ended 2-0 with goals from Thomas Meunier and Eden Hazard.

It will be recalled that the two teams met earlier in the World Cup in the final group stage match which ended 1-0,in favour of Belgium, which then gave them the total of 9points and leader of Group G.

The efforts of Harry Kane and his teammates were not enough to tame Belgium as the duo of Kelvin de Bruyne and Eden Hazard were able to penetrate the defence line, which caused the needed havoc.

Going by the current statistics, England’s captain, Kane may emerge the top scorer of the competition if either of Antonio Griezzman and Kylian Mbappe fail to get 3goals each in Final match tomorrow in order to match 6goals already scored by the Tottenham Hotspur striker.

FIFA President, Gianni Infantino led some other dignitaries to present medals to the Referee team and also presented the Bronze medal to the Belgium side.
