Asiwaju’s win is a victory for democratic processes, says Bolowotan

A leading aspirant for Ikorodu Constituency 1, Lagos State House of Assembly ticket in the ruling All Progressives Congress, Toyin Gafaar Bolowotan has hailed the party’s National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on his victory at the recently concluded presidential primary.

The politician, in a statement, stated that the emergence of the former Lagos State governor as the APC presidential flag bearer isn’t just a win for the progressives but a victory for democratic processes.

“It is a victory for resilience, a victory for doggedness and an encouragement to us all to never give up on our dreams. I join all well meaning Nigerians to congratulate our father and leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his triumph during the APC Special Convention,” he said.

“Now, the real race is about to begin as we move to ensure the actual victory at the polls.
May we have a successful run.”

On Wednesday, Tinubu won the APC presidential primary after he polled 1,271 votes to beat his closest challenger, the immediate past Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi who had 316 votes.
