Angry thugs attack Zambia striker’s home following Super Eagles loss

Following the defeat of the Chipolopolo of Zambia by Nigeria in Uyo, angry youths have invaded the home of striker, Alex N’gonga in Chimwemwe, Kitwe pelting the house with stones.

Alex N’gonga who plays for homeside, Power Dynamos is the lead striker for the Zambians and he was expected to pull a stunt against Nigeria but failed to find the back of the net which angered a bunch of youths to attack his home. They blame him for missing several  scoring chances.

The attack according to local Police occurred when the striker’s mother was in the house. The elderly woman has disclosed to newsmen that she feared for her life when some of the ravaging youths threatened to pull down the house.

According to the Copperbelt province police commissioner, Charity Katanga, “a group of people emerged from a white Toyota Land Cruiser ACC 5492 and maliciously damaged two roofing sheets with stones.”

The Police are not on the lookout for the attackers.
