The Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has reached out to parents of the kidnapped students who were abducted from their school in Epe area of Lagos State.
In a statement signed by his media aide, Laolu Akande, Osinbajo stated that the Federal Government was ready to use available security apparatus in partnership with Lagos State to get the students returned to their respective homes.
Osinbajo also acknowledged the efforts of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode as he said he has been in talks with him on the matter at different times.
He said, “Our hearts are with the parents. I know how difficult it is for them at this time. The governor has done a lot of work and has been speaking with me.”
“All security apparatus of government are focussed to ensure those children are brought back safe. It has to be done with due care.”
“I have also been speaking with some neighbouring state governors who have also been helpful. So we look forward to the children’s safe return.”
