● He was born on Abayomi Owope on December 17, 1977.
● He grew up in Kaduna where he had his elementary and secondary school education.
● He attended the University of Lagos where he obtained a degree in English.
● Yomi holds a Masters in Communications from the Pan Atlantic University.

● Yomi began his career as a journalist with Thisday Newspapers before proceeding to a career in PR.
● In 2004, he was engaged as the Chief Press Secretary to Toyin Ojora-Saraki who was at the time the First Lady of Kwara state. Yomi held this position till 2008.
● Yomi Owope wrote and hosted the first edition of ‘The Debaters’ in 2009.
● He also worked with Mo Abudu on ‘Moments with Mo’ writing about 40 episodes of the show in two seasons.
● Before now, he also worked as the writer and narrator of ‘The Next Titan Reality Show’.
● Yomi Owope is the founder of ‘Women in Journalism’, an annual conference of females in the media profession.
● Yomi is married and has three kids with his wife, Ayotunde.
